This book is really,really, really ggggggggooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodddddd! This girl named Grace lives in the dust bowl. She and her ma, pa, and sis Ruth are having trouble with their farm. One day her bestest friend ever moves to go to California.Now she thinks life stinks. She winds up working in a hospital for the summer break. Ruth's best friend is Hannah. When Grace goes to the hospital one day to help people with dust pneumonia , she sees little Hannah on the bed. When she tells Ruth, Ruth cries. Finally they heard the news that Hannah had died!! The rest of the book mentions that she will never ever leave the Texas panhandle.
